UK-China Collaboration on Transition Finance and the Green Economy
London Climate Action Week 2026 sees the launch of two new research reports under the UK-China Green Finance Taskforce. Led by LSEG in collaboration with the Institute of Finance and Sustainability, HSBC and the Bank of Jiangsu, UK–China Collaboration on Transition Finance and the Green Economy explores the evolving policy, disclosure and financing landscapes in the UK and China.
The report brings together insights from key stakeholders to identify opportunities to translate shared climate ambitions into investment, reduce market fragmentation, and support an orderly, large-scale transition across both economies. The research also highlights the complementary strengths of the two countries, from the UK’s leadership in corporate transition planning and financial innovation to China’s rapidly expanding green finance system and industrial scale.
